Sick...

There's a huge downside to spending half of my time in a close-knit community at church. We share germs like nobody's business. Last week a bunch of people had gastro. I'd been in close contact with them before they got sick. A week later, i was still fine, so i thought that i'd miraculously been spared. Apparently not.

Yesterday, i woke up feeling crook. I thought i was just hungry, so i ate brekkie on the way to uni... but didn't feel any better. In fact, i felt worse. By the time i'd gotten out of my first 2hr lecture, i'd thrown up brekkie in my break and spent at least half of the time trying to breathe deeply instead of taking notes in class. After a 2hr coffee break with Loz, i wasn't feeling much better... but i'd had a cup and a half of tea and some decent gossip, so that was a plus. I suffered through an important tute - i even spoke up about a few things - but when i nearly spewed at the end, i figured it was time to give up and go home. I missed the last 3hrs of my day. Turned out to be a good idea. Just made it through the drive home and then collapsed into bed. I was completely out of it for the next few hours. It was fun though, mum was doting on poor little old me.

Thankfully i'm feeling better tonight, as i've got to prepare for uni tomorrow! I tell you, being sick isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's so much more fun when you're sick enough to miss school but not so sick that you can't muck around on the computer and read!!
