Perceptions

It's interesting. People who know that i have a blog tend to take what's written in it as gospel. However, i KNOW that people i know read this blog. I know that there are people who read it because they care about me and are trying to keep up with what's happening in my life, as well as bloggers out there in the 'sphere that read it cos they see the weird blog name somewhere in cyberspace. I'm not really an annonymous blogger. Obviously, i'm going to take that into account and my deepest darkest secrets aren't going to make their way on here. People come up to me and say 'hey, if people know everything about your life, it's your own fault, you have a blog!'. Now, try to think that through. If you know me in real life, you should be well aware that the really important things aren't spelt out here for everybody to see.

Today at lunch, i got one of those 'ha, your fault everyone knows about you, you have a blog!' comments. In context, i'd said that it was weird, because Loz tells all of her friends about what's going on with me, even though i don't know them very well. What she tells them is stuff that's never even made it close to the blog. It has nothing to do with blogging! So the 'no sympathy, you bring it on yourself because you have a blog' comments are not only annoying but completely irrelevant.

Seriously people. How stupid do you think i am? I post about my life on here. But i do that while keeping in mind the fact that people know who i am. I still have secrets. Blogging doesn't wipe out the possibility for that, and doesn't mean i'm giving up any privacy i have in my life. It doesn't mean that i still don't think it's weird when people know all these things about me that i haven't told them about.

Geez, guys. Just think sometimes (that said, i still love you... just pointing this out).
