I can't believe that we're already into the second month of this year. It's crazy how fast the time flies - only 11 months to go!
What have i done since i got home? In all, not a huge amount... i had a great time at the beach with the boys from Work In Progress - the new boys-only church band. I've gone back to work at church, which is fun. I got my old saturday morning shift at stateswim back, which means i'll get my little ones back, hurrah! My unitimetable is sorted. I can't organise books yet. The melbourne trip is cancelled, but we might be off to carra for a few days instead. I had a good time out at the beach with the girls for dinner last night. And we're finally all back in the same country! It's awesome.
I've also seen a bunch of great movies;
Juno - A classic movie, with the adorable Michael Cera, about a teenage girl who gets pregnant and her subsequent decisions as she picks an adoptive family and carries the baby to term. A basic idea, but it's done so beautifully and so kookily, that the movie really is special.
27 Dresses - With the gorgeous Katherine Heigel and James Marsden, owner of the cutest, cheekiest grin ever to grace the silver screen, this movie was always destined to be a hit chick-flick. A kitsch twist on your basic boy-meets-girl story, it's was a great movie to see with the girls.
PS: I Love You - Aside from the fact that this movie made me want to move to Ireland to find a guy channelling the likes of Gerard Butler and Jeffery Dean Morgan, a.k.a Denny from Grey's Anatomy, (yes, i know they're not actually irish, but they played it beautifully), it was moving, entertaining and surprising. Hilary Swank wasn't what i expected; she added much more depth to the movie than i thought her diminuitive frame would allow. I loved it. I cried. I laughed. I reccomended it to everyone!
Tonight? Youth Group, a 21st and drinks to celebrate the fact that we're all in the same country again. I'm going to be running around like mad!! I didn't waste much time getting back into the swing of things here.
