'Tis The Season
No, it's not Christmas. It's Adelaide's birthday season. There are birthdays almost every week from now until August. Which makes for a heap of parties and overall a darn good time. Festivities started this weekend!
Last night was MusicMan's 21st. While i was slightly freaked about going somewhere where i would know almost noone, i arrived with an open mind - and proceeded to have a great time. I was with a bunch of the girls, so i already knew heaps of people and i was really surprised about the amount of people that i knew! There were girls from church, guys i knew, RevJ was there... plenty of people to talk to!
The SouthAfrican bought me a drink to celebrate the fact that i'm almost better. Later, a trio of guys attempted to hit on the girls and i, buying us champagne and discussing Star Trek, while practicing the Vulcan Salute. Hehe, we freaked them out when they first figured out how old we were. But, unphased after a moment, the awkward conversation continued. The SouthAfrican taught me to make serviette tulips - though i don't think i found my calling there - and made me a turtle from a champagne bottle top. I dub him 'Frank'.
We were meant to clear out by 1, but MusicMan was too polite to tell us to get out so we decided to see how long we could stay before the owner kicked us out... making it to all of 1.20 :P We felt very successful!
On the whole? A good night. I've never been to a 21st before. A good way to kick of Birthday Season, especially seeing as i've got another one tonight and tomorrow i'm 18!
