Morphed Mindset
It's been over a week since i've spent more than an hour in the company of a female. Until yesterday evening, i'd never have considered this a problem! However, i have now discovered that i am mistaken. You know that certain male-mindset that i was talking about earlier? The one where dirty responses come to mind with every innocent phrase? Where it seems normal to break into mock-fights every ten minutes? Well, did you know that it can be catching? No? Neither did i. But it is!
Now, this is actually rather an amusing experience for Loz and i. Surrounded by five or six guys, 8 hours a day, four days in a row, we really started to notice the changes. For example, everytime a comment like 'if we had an argument, you know i'd come out on top' or 'are you coming tommorrow?' was made, or the words 'just' and 'friends' were used together, there was a guaranted response of 'you bet you'd be on top', 'i'll be coming way before then!' or a suggestive raised eyebrow. When every second sentence follows these basic guidelines, there is an air of constant hilarity, coupled with guilty moments when you realise that the kiddies are actually listening! Oops...
Lol, i'm looking forward to some girl-time, so i can stop scanning every word for a double entendre. But it was a fun few days - i recomend it to all! As for the possibly perplexing post title here, i'm thinking it could really take off as the name of a band. Alternative maybe, perhaps a touch of emo? So, if any of you are starting a band, consider the name. And no, it's not just a random phrase that popped into my head :P Elmo is the dude who instigated this afternoon's round-two tickling wars, along with brother-of-Elmo, Birthday Boy and The Rower. I was severely outnumbered and, should the weapon of choice been more deadly than tickling fingers, i would be a goner right now. As for the Shirtless Buddies, they would also be known as The Rower and Ewie. They're rather self-explanatory - two dudes who spend a fair amount of time without their shirts on, claiming that we girls are swooning on the inside :P So, someone start a band and i'll buy the CD :P
Kids Club is over for almost six months and i miss the kiddies already! I got there this afternoon and was greeted by calls of 'i missed you today', 'i made this for you' and other adorable sentiments. All my little buddies are growing up so fast! The fact that i can be their friend and still keep control over them gives you such a buzz - especially when you can manage it better than some of the older people :P It's such a fun thing to do and the kids love it. Yes, i know i complain about it 24/7 when i'm there and the early mornings are killer! But i really love it :) Lol, yes, i'm on a slight high right now.
This afternoon i handed in an assingment worth 25% of my maths grade. It was an assignment created by the devil. THE DEVIL. It took me forever and was over 25 pages long by the time it was finished. But, as of 4.10pm this afternoon, it is DONE! Hehehe. Tres excite! I was up until 3am last night, up at 7am today to visit Noodle for help, then off to accounting courses and back to the hovel to work on maths... Whew. But, if i get a decent mark then it will all be worth it!
Ah. It was a good day :P
