I've spent lots of time this weekend reading and bumming around - i'm still sick so i'm pretty exchausted! But today Loz and i had some adventures. We zoomed over to Mitcham to see 17 Again but stopped for refreshments. Loz was feeling kinda glum, so we stocked up on food... we had a packet of original chips, one of cheetos, and one of doritos. We had a packet of pods and a giant toblerone. A small popcorn. And two bottles of water, to keep us healthy... It was an insane amount of food. Fitting in into the seats with us was a logistical challenge! But it was definitely tasty - doritod taste awesome with popcorn and chocolate.
The movie was amazing. Sooo funny; the entire theatre was in hysterics. Matthew Perry wasn't in enough scenes unfortunately, but he was funny in all the ones that he was in. And Zac Effron. Wow. So hot. He spent a large portion of the movie scantily clad, or in white tees, tight jeans and leather jackets... drool. If i didn't already love him, i totally do now! He didn't sing, but he did do some dancing with basketballs. Clearly that will become his signature movie for years to come. But the movie wasn't just awesome because of his looks - he did a great job acting too, he played the part really well. And the random nerdy dude who played the Star Trek/Lord of the Rings/Star Wars enthusiast complete with pointy ears was an absolute hoot. Granted, it was a simewhat predictable movie... but that did nothing to diminish it's awesomeness. Best movie ever.
Afterwards, we tried to shop for Kids Club cooking supplies, which turned out to be no mean feat. The foodland was all over the place! I think we lapped the isles about five times and we still couldn't find everything that we were looking for. So we gave up. We then went to the chemist - after a conversation about angry butter, the ogre living under the bridge, mighty fine goats and the perfect shade of hair colour, we headed home again for the next step in our adventure...
...We died my hair!! We were going for the shock factor, so picked the darkest brown possible. It was quite a trial to get it all in, but Loz did a lovely job. We washed it out, dried it - and it's dark! Each time i look at it, it looks darker. At first, we didn't think there was much of a difference, but we've changed our mind. Maybe it does make a noticable difference after all? I wanted a change. My life is so boring at the moment, so i'm trying to shake things up a little. Going a little emo with the hair was a good start.
Gotta get up super early tomorrow (church at 7am, then for the entire day - and i've got to be up extra early because i have to make my new hair look all pretty!!) before a looooooong day, so i should stop procrastinating and go study/paint my nails. I'm so dedicated to my craft.
Have a happy easter everyone!!
