I love flowers. Maybe it's just a girl thing, who knows, but i know that i love them.
Granted, i've never received flowers from a guy, which would be much more noteworthy. I have, however, been given a rose by one of the girls on Valentine's day when i was in year 12; we were all single, so decided that we'd be each other's Valentine's! It was much more fun that way. I got flowers for my birthday and they stayed in my room for weeks until the very last one died (think of it as sentimental, not gross). When i was upset about something last year, someone gave me flowers - though, looking back, i'm not entirely sure about the reason behind the gift... but it seemed like a nice thought at the time, i loved them. My Gran used to give me a little posie of flowers every year on my birthday, which was very sweet.
I'm also a bit of a four year old when it comes to flowers... if i'm out for a walk with a friend, it's not uncommon for me to be seen walking along with flowers threaded through my hair, or i'm twirling them between my fingers. I don't really care how silly it looks, i just love having something so pretty in my hair (just like the hippies and the fairies used to do). The girls have a giggle, or roll their eyes, but i just keep on, bouncing down the road, smiley and happy with flowers in my hair.
Then there's the song by Sandi Thom - oh, i wish i was a punk rocker, with flowers in my hair... whenever i think about flowers my brain start singing that song!

I think it's sweet that you still have that fun little girl in you and aren't afraid to show it. :)
So you are a flower child-lol! Great story! The Wildwood Flower is at my place!
Happy HoTs!

Being yourself and enjoying life is so important in in the simplest of moments...don't ever stop smelling the roses....
I'm no expert on types of flowers or growing them or anything like that, but I sure do love seeing them and receiving them and putting them in my hair ;)
Flowers make us feel special. Come see my flower garden please.
I could just picture you walking along threading your hair with flowers. Made me think about the daisy chains I used to make as a child.
