I'm so exhausted, i can hardly move. It's taken three hours for me to work up enough energy to log onto blogger, and the exertion of moving my fingers is wearing me out. After working all week, 9 or 10 hour days with the kids, and staying up late to study, plus two late nights this weekend... i'm feeling like death. Last night didn't help!
Again the taxi driver (i knew a late night would be bad enough, alcohol wouldn't help), i picked the girls up and we went to the Elephant. The night was off to a good start when i tried to park the car on Rundle Street, found a park... but couldn't get into it. I went back and forth, back and forth for ages, before a man sitting on the street offered to park it for me. I said yes (having a small panic attack when i thought that he was going to drive off in it!) and he parked it no worries. Everyone on the balcony of the Austral applauded me and i took a bow - it was hilarious! Once at the Elephant, we had a bit of a girls night - the band was good, playing heaps of old school stuff that had the four of us yelling along, laughing. After awhile, we got bored. We headed over to Electric Light to meet up with the guys.
We stayed there awhile, catching up with them. They're a great group, they make you feel special and are always up for a laugh. Electric light was pretty cool. Granted, there was some guy doing a terrible job of trying to hit on me, which got old pretty fast. But it was good fun anyway. We stayed there for awhile before the guys got bored and we went to the Stag. We hung out there for awhile, just chatting, before we were again bored and we moved on. We stood outside a yiros shop for ages, while some of the others got food and one of the boys stole a coke - yes, he's a terrible influence on the girls, i'm not impressed at all. Eventually, i got them into the car and we drove to Swish.
I drove around the block looking for a park, but couldn't find one, so dropped the others off and drove around for ages to find one. Eventually i did. The others hadn't waited, so i lined up alone, fended off a guy who walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around me, trying to be 'friendly' - until he found out that i was sober, and he realised that his chances were much lower. When i got in, i found the others and the girls and i danced for awhile. They took great pleasure in embarassing me in front of a couple of guys that i've met once before at AUBC parties, who i'm sure would rather just forget me - wow, was i suprised when one of them came up to me later and tried to chat me up; what was he thinking? No idea. We were all getting tired, but the girls weren't ready to leave, so i hung around waiting and trying not to fall asleep. Bri turned up and we hung out for awhile, she introduced me to her incredibly good-looking hockey friends. I went to dance with her - and then the others decided that they were ready to leave.
I dropped the boys and girls to their respective homes and went back to mine. By this time it was half three in the morning. I got into trackies, hopped into bed and read a magazine while i waited for my second taxi round to start. Eventually, i got a call and went back into town to pick two of the others up. I dropped Bri home, no worries. I had to phsycially manouver the last into bed though, which was fairly funny. By the time i got home, it was nearing five. I literally fell into bed and passed out until mum came in and woke me up this morning - i have no idea why she insists on waking me up early when i've been out late! It was an interesting night...
I can't wait until tonight, my bed, sleep...
