True Randomness
As i sit here, waiting for my two hour break to end (yes! only 35 mins to go!), i have actually prepared for both my tutes this afternoon, successfully navigated the treacherous world of internet legislation bases, had a coffee (sans the SouthAfrican, which made it far lonelier and far more looser-ish, as i sat there alone) and trawled facebook for awhile - surreptitiously, of course, as i felt guilty about using the computers for something so frivolous!
So, in the true spirit of my bloggie, i turned to it in a time of boredom. So, i shall proceed to be random and tell you off all the things that happened this fine day... yes, i'm still in a fairly good mood!
This morning, i dragged myself out of the house ten minutes early, to get petrol when it's cheap (woohoo for cheapie-tuesday's!). I put in $20.30 and managed to lose my voucher for 4c of a litre - yes, i'm cheap! However, when the guy asked for the 30c and i only had 20c in change, he let me off 10c! Haha, i know that's nothing and will probably not even buy a red frog these days, but the fact that the nice guy gave me 10c off was very cheering. Shows that there is still kindness in the petrol-station-men of the world. Plus, almost made up for my not having my 4c voucher :P AND my tank is now 3/4 full for the first time in a looooooooooong time!
After making such good time to uni, i was earlier than i'd ever been (i actually thought that maybe the lecture was cancelled, there were so many car parks on the FRINGES of siberia - the car park that's so far away, it may as well be in the himalayas - rather than on the other side. Hurrah! (word of the week, by the way). When Felix the Cat showed up, we jumped with excitement (figuratively) at the thought of the 'non-teaching period' - aka HOLIDAYS - that will come at the end of this week. Hurrah! I said we should catch up and was actually rewarded for my bravery with an enthusiastic 'yea!' (more smiles). We finally did something that we've danced around doing for the past six months; we swapped mobile numbers :P haha, up until this point, if we ever wanted each other for anything, we'd have to email... so stone-age of us!
In my trawlings of facebook this afternoon, i found something that quite literally made my heart skip a beat or two . Yes, this just proves that it is entirely possibly to live through the world of facebook. It's amazing exactly how much you can discover on there... now to double check - always a good idea to get real live confirmation before you go getting any silly ideas in your head (or alternatively, get grumpy - why would i want to kill me good mood unnecessarily?!).
This thursday night i'm quite possibly off to the show! I FINALLY found someone who wanted to join me on an adventure to recapture the fun times that we'd had at the show in our youth and spend as little money as possible in the process! Plus, we simply HAVE to have a ride on the death trap that is the Mad Mouse before they close it down at the end of the year. I've already promised Brian that i shall deliver her a Bertie Beetle show bag on our way home, as she unfortunately can't join us :( BUT, we shall have much fun anyway, if only to laugh at all of the silly people that you see at the show and to have fun patting the cute little animals! Haha, i'm so easily excited. Can't wait to see the pretty-ful fireworks and crappy side-show toys. We shall MAKE ourselves have fun - once you get started, it's really not that hard. Feel free to join us on our evening of fun!
Got to dash now - think i may go call Roz before my tute... she'd better not be at work! Haha, i feel like having a giddy phone call with someone.
Smile!
