Monday, Happy Days

Another Day

Ohh swimming lessons are painful when they consist of a child who screams for half an hour... but the kid was a cutie, we we're all good. Got to take the good with the bad!

As for the rest of the day? It was time for the quarter-annual coffee date with the librarian. Loz forgot, so we had a few hours to catch up before she arrived. We covered her crazy boss, monkey-butt (who is obviously in love with her, as every sane male is), my ridiculus excuse for a love life (which provided much hilarity - at least i can laugh at myself), uni, church, work... mucho funo and hilarity-o was had by all. She's officially offered to off any women/men who stand in the way of my happiness in love, which amuses me. I love my catch-ups with the librarian! She's so much fun - not your typical, straight-laced 36 year old!

After coffee, round 4pm, i pulled all of my nerves together and actually invited myself over to PB's. He'd had another day off work, so i took advantage of that and wanted to go walk Barns with him - when i arrived, Angel was there too. We went for a wander in the sun and it was lovely. I love the gorgeous reserve up near his palace. When we got back, we had the arduous task of cooking him dinner - pulling apart a chicken was a difficult task with the three of us smushed into the corner of his kitchen, with the dog, but we managed and nothing got burnt!

It was established that a little book of the stupid things that annie says needed to be established. Apparently, you can't be infamous in a bad way. Also, the emphasis is on the 'im-', not the '-fam'... Did you know that there was no such thing as 'quater-annually'? It seems that it's actually 'quarterly'... My lack of co-ordination has also become a problem. It seems that i fall over ALL THE TIME when Angel and PB are around. All i even seem to be doing is bumping into the back of PB, tripping over something and grabbing Angel to stop myself falling over or tripping over my own feet, catching my own balance and looking up to see the inevitable looks of 'you moron, i can't believe i'm anywhere near you...'. It's pretty funny actually. Still. If PB is the one who says pokey things to people, Angel is the voice of reason and i'm the one who says all things stupid, at least we know our places in the world. We have also established that Angel, with her good sight/sense of smell/balance has stolen significant portions of these from me. I want them back, girl! :P

Two things i learnt today? ONE: It apparently really hurts guys when you poke them in the belly button, because it sends shooting pains into unfortunate places. TWO: Guys can get pins and needles in their 'misters'. It's hilarious to watch them trying to deal with that, before eventually staggering off. Classic.

I was smiley today. It was nice. I liked it.
