Sensible Saturday

"The Simpsons"

Last night was Sensible Saturday. As in, no hitting the town, no alcohol, no dressing up, no late nights. PB came up with the idea; once a month or so we'll have a sensible saturday. We're allowed as many Frivolous Fridays as we want though :P So, last night was our first try at being sensible and i think we did a really great job.

PB, English, Loz and i headed to norwood to see The Simpsons. I'd refused to see it, on principle - movies like that just make me cringe! However, it was see that or spend saturday night at home alone. So, i decided i'd suffer through it. I played chauffer, picking up the others. We had to split up when we got there, as the place was packed! PB and i sat together, while Loz and English sat behind up - which mean that i had a few hours of English putting popcorn in my hair and tousling it. Annoying little mite! The movie wasn't that bad... granted it was full of violence, crude jokes and cringeful moments. But PB caught me smiling once or twice, so i couldn't claim that i hated it completely. I think i even laughed (on the inside) a few times.

After the movie we went for a wander up and down the parade. Eventually it got to the point where i didn't know where i was anymore, so i made us turn around and go back. English and Loz had an argument over who was the third wheel and who was the fourth, which kept them occupied for awhile. Then we got cold rock, yum! I tell you, banana and cookie dough is the BEST mixture ever. Everyone says it's gross - until they try it :P

Eventually, we headed home - the boys needed to be home in time to watch Newcastle in the soccer (i think they won...). I nearly killed English for back seat driving and PB was being a pest in the front seat. I reeeeeally need to wash my car tomorrow - it got fogged up when a friends and i sat in it for hours the other day, and now the inside windows are as dirty as the outside ones, which means that i can hardly see... Oopsie. I dropped them home and i stole some more of PB's cds (Oasis rocks!). Then it was home to bed with a book before 11pm. I think it was definately a very sensible saturday night.
