Out Again

Late Night Antics

I had to work until eleven on saturday, but Dr.B dropped me into town on his way home so that i could meet up with Viv, GeorgieB, BB, Sawyer and a few of the others - we had farewell drinks for Viv, who's leaving for a GAP in South Africa in a week!

Granted, i rocked up at the wrong place and therefore had to catch a taxi (on my own) all the way across town - cost me $8! Haha, i'm a total scroge these days. Anyway, we ended up at the union again (the place with the beds) and hung around there for awhile. The boys played pokies and lost plenty of money - i think it might be a stupid male ego thing, in that they just HAVE to beat the machine to prove their masculinity. It's pretty stupid. But hey, we had fun while they tried to get a profit. They made some, but i think they lost more :P

We danced awhile. Then BB left. Ironically, it was his leaving that was the high point of my evening (usually, i prefer to have him around). Tonight, he didn't totally ignore me - which was a good indication that what i was wearing didn't have me being the 'invisible woman' again :P and i'm fairly sure that i caught a few glances from his direction, which was fun. Apparently, if i look good and ignore him, he doesn't ignore me... boys are so stupid. But the real high point? When he left, he hugged Viv and high fived GeorgieB - but IIIII got something a million times better (in my opinion at least!). I got a hug from behind (while i was ignoring him :P) and he bent over to kiss me goodbye. Lol, i know, nothing special - but i got hugs and kisses while the others didn't AND i was definately not ignored... You should all know by now how small things make me happy!

GeorgieB and i left not long after, catching up on each others goss on the way home - she's been in Sydney so long that we had almost six months of stuff to talk about! Aside? I love sharing cabs - the whole half-price thing is a total bonus :P

All in all, it was a good night out! Saw some faces that i haven't seen in a long time. Spent lots of money though... oops. Ah well. Worth it. Nothing like good times with good friends and a good good-bye to bring a smile to someone's face.
