'Friends'
No, this isn't a super serious, worldy post about who we are, where we came from, where we're going, our place in the world - all that jazz. Nope, this is simply a post about one of the best television shows ever. Namely, Friends.
Being a sickie, other than sleeping there is very little i can do. Meagre amounts of homework maybe. Lots of television. I tell you, i am bored stiff. The only thing that was keeping me sane was watching copious amounts of Friends. Unfortunately for both my sanity and yours (seeing as you will be the ones that i complain to), i just watched the last episode of season 10. Very emotional experience, as per usual. As much as i love it, i couldn't possibly watch it again immediately. So, i'm very sad. Thinking i might have to get addicted to the likes of Sex and the City.
Anyway. Thrice in the last week or so have i had conversations about who's who. That is, which of our friends is like the characters of Friends. Here's what i learned;
* Girls pick who people are like because of personality. Eg. One of my friends is veeeery blonde and by elimination was dubbed Phoebe. Guys, however, decide who is most like who by looks. Eg. Same girl, dubbed Rachel.
* Unanimous decisions had MusicMan immortalised as Ross. Hehe.
* Girls pick the SouthAfrican to be Joey, guys think he's Chandler. Girls think AlmostMarried is Chandler (leading us to wonder if AlmostMarried's fiancee was Janice or Monica. We decided neither). Interesting.
* It has been decided that, without a doubt, i have the completely obsessive characteristics, coupled with a tendancy to be loud and shrill. And am the motherly type. Therefore, i am Monica. Undoubtedly. This is definately about personality, not looks. At least not the present Monica.
* All guys think the world of Jennifer Aniston, tolerate Courtney Cox Arquette and think Lisa Kudrow is gross.
* I apparently would make a terrible/very unfussy lesbian because i hold nothing against Lisa Kudrow.
Such a simple conversation. Yet you really get so much out of it! I couldn't begin to tell you all of the things that i've gotten out of Friends over the years. So informative. Anyway, that's it for me and the mini-rant over Friends!
If you've never seen it, i don't want you coming back to this blog until you've at least seen one episode! Seriously.
