Naughty or Nice?
It's always a big deal with the littluns - were they nice enough for Santa to bring them something from their wishlist? Or were they just that little bit too naughtly, earning themselves a big, ugly lump of coal? Ahh, for the days when the questions asked were so simple :P Well, the Santa that is in charge of pressies at my place hasn't quite got a 'Naughty or Nice' list thats 100% up to date, so, lucky me, i'm in the good books. Say hello to George2, the i-pod. *Hi George2!*
The last few days have been your usual mix of Christmas Eve-type things. Yesterday saw my beautiful palm trees displayed infront of a particularly receptive audience while the Christmas Pirates merrily danced around them. That was followed by an evening of yabbering away with Sinky (formerly a shirtless buddy) - while he 'lovingly' tried to stick a pencil in my ear and his brother cracked wry jokes from a distance as he enjoyed the cold weather that reminded him of home. Plus, i got a whole lot of quality time with my dearest darling little Bobby who was being as gorgeous as per ever. Sooo adorable. A few hours later we'd made it through the midnight service and had a round of hugs from all of the lovely people in our church. Everyone is so nice! :)
After being woken at the crack of dawn by an enthusiastic little brother, we did the family-presant-opening-thing before i headed off to church for a repeat of last nights pirate sing-song. The kids had their sunday school birthday party for Jesus - complete with a round of pass-the-parcel, cake, singing, bubbles... the whole works! Loz and i gave Sinky his very own 'hair band' so that he could stop stealing ours and i became the official horsie to little Ali, who lost the will to walk :P
Back home again, preparations were in full swing for the annual big-deal chrissy lunch. Everyone arrived and we ate an hour late because my ever unreliable aunt was late with the stuffing - nothing like a rocky start :P but eventually everyone was happily stuffed. My uncle (who looks just like the new James Bond) brought his fiancee who's really nice - and just as pretty as your usual Bond girl. My sister and i got along well but, as per usual, the four of us kids didn't really talk much - the whole stranger thing i mentioned once before. But it was still really good. Gran survived ok and so did Dad. All in all, a successful christmas!
Now everyone's gone home, leftovers are stewing and i'm sitting here playing with George2 and writing to you guys :) I got lots of lovely christmas messages from you all - and an interesting txt from TheLibrarian, complete with a picture of her VERY decent looking nephew (Spongebob) who is one of a set of which Loz is gauranteed the other half, when they come to visit. Not too shabby TL, not too shabby :P Lol, random additive to my Christmas tales there.
Hope everyone had a great day and that nobody recieved any... uh, unwanted? presants (Noodle...). Happy Holidays!
Annie
