The One With All The Random Stuff...

You Want News?

Well, sorry to disappoint but i'm all out of any news that is even remotely interesting! So, i'll resort to the less interesting day-to-day happenings that have taken place since the beginning of the school hollies (that's last friday night, for all of you non-school-goers).

Friday night was some good fun - i'd had a hair cut so my usually untamable mop had been contained and some of the girls and i made the loooooong trek up to Aberfoyle. We didn't get lost! Lol, we did, however, discover that my car only goes about 25kmph up bug hills :P Anyway, we spent the night listening to the musical talents of 'FLP' (name under revision) and 'Innhaus Fish' -- who are the COOLEST band ever, by the way! Talk about some great childhood memories and they even sung the 'Friends' theme song! Definately won our approval - we were singing along so loudly that they came up to us with the mike - embarassing but cool :P After the entertainment had ended we left (after a bit of back-and-forthing with guitars and saying 'good-bye' to certain band members), trekking back through the hub, hooning down past Flinders, grabbing some Maccas (complete with VERY cool dancing squirrels) and sending Roz, our lovely 18-yr-old bud, to get some... refreshments. However, abandoned by our male companions who were more interested in getting some sleep, the four of us managed only half the bottle before resorting to mucking around on the guitar and learning none of us could play, then retiring to bed for some good old late-night goss.

Saturday morning saw me up bright and early, heading donwn to Marleston to sit my swimming teacher final exam (i'd taken the actual course last weekend with L & J - we figured that after our big night out last saturday, i would've actually still been slightly drunk on sunday morning... but i made it through my course, so it's all good!). I'd planned to get there nice and early to... ah... start... my studying. Another girl had had the same idea, so we studied in peace for awhile, occasionally doing the 'friendly-chat' thing, before the oh-so-incredibly-hot-Nick-the-water-polo-player arrived and joined in our little study session. Eventually, we actually knew our stuff and sat down for our two-hour exam. It was really hard!! The multiple choice (i bless the man who invented multiple choice) was ok - but the VERY FIRST short-answer stumped me! A good start. Not. But, fingers crossed, touch wood, all that jazz, i did ok - i only need 60% to get a pass! On the plus side, no more swimming course stuff for now (just training later)! On the downside, no more hot nick :P

Sunday night, after a semi-dodge session of our band playing at church, i hit the movies with M & S in tow, to meet up with Colvie. 'The Devil Wears Prada' is officially on my 'i-reccomend' list! It was a reeeeeally good movie; funny, intriguing -- with the incredibly gorgeous Adrian Grenier (the dude from 'Drive Me Crazy') and Nick Baker (the dude from 'the Guardian') making it even better. DEFINATELY go and see it! Lol, but don't take a boy who is going to wriggle around next to you, complaining that he is bored and eventually falling asleep on your shoulder :P

I spent ALL DAY today assembling cupboards from IKEA - which i am officially in love with btw - and now my room is nicely re-organised and looks pretty different. More space for bits and pieces now, all my crap fits! Yay! Now, for all of you sceptics out there, the Sweedish are VERY CLEVER people; they made assembly instructions that even I could follow! So i made all five cupboards and shelving thingies by myself (Dad was too tired and mum was too hopeless - i won't even start on telling you what Jono was like!). Go ME! I haven't screwed them to the wall yet though, because that needed a drill and was too easy to stuff up :P and i haven't put the doors on yet, because, when i tried, they nearly made the whole thing fall on top of me, as it wasn't secured to the wall :P What an image! Anyway, it's all quite nice now. A good days work!

Kids Club tomorrow, at least for a little while. I haven't seen my little-leaders in ages so it should be fun. If anyone wants to help herd the kids around at the beach, just give me a 'hoi'! We're always needing more people :P So that will be on most of the week, with accounting on Friday am -- i need all the help i can get there! India meeting on wednesday, possibly a scary movie looming in the not-too-distant future. Plus, M's sweet 16th tomorrow and G's 22nd on Wednesday :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

If anything interesting comes up, you can be sure i'll keep you posted!
And i still haven't heard the goss from the Blue & White so...

TaTa for now!
