Window Worries...
Should i be worried that i have taken an extreme dislike to windows of late? Probably, seeing as there are three in my bedroom alone, not even starting on the one just outside my doorway, the 6 or more in my little car, the ones in my classroom... I think windows would be a terrible thing to be terrified of, seeing as there are so many of them. Thankfully, i'm not at that stage yet.
You may be starting to think that i am ever so slightly unstable, what with my 'wall moments', 'bubble boys' (although technically, neither or these things are 'mine') and now an irrational dislike of windows, but i promise you, they are all perfectly reasonable, especially when circumstance is taken into consideration.
You see, this window thing, started annyoing me when i was sitting inside taking notes for my accounting exam (a yucky thing at the best of times) and saw a rare, lovely, sunny day outside; blue skies, warm sun, chirpy birds, the whole deal. Now, all this served to do was provide a ten minute distraction and let me know what i was missing, being stuck inside. Then you have all of the times you are just about ready to go out, you look out a window and see it's bucketing with rain and you have to postpone your activities (eg. delivering the white pages - did you know you're not supposed to do that in the rain?). Technically, once you've walked out the front door, you're going to realise that you can't deliver phone books anyway, but the seeing it through the windows just makes it much harsher somehow. Then there is the annoying fact that the front window of my car is always dirty and while, yes, i could fix this problem by washing it, that would not only take up my precious time (better spent doing more of the driving that made the window dirty in the first place), but, unless i can suddenly have a grassy front lawn to wash my car on, i'll have to spend $12+ on a car wash. What kind of teenager has that kind of money to burn?! :P
But, the most frustrating thing about windows it the fact that, should you be driving in the passenger seat of a car and look through the window that is directly infront of you or the one less that five centimetres from your head, if you see something you... well, you wish you hadn't seen to put it mildly (such as a certain car/certain person/certain event, blah, blah, blah), then there is very little that you can do about it. You can hardly give the driver an irrational reason to stop the car just because you suddenly want to have a closer look at something. So you drive on, the annoyance of not being able to get to what was a mere two metres away, separated from you by a measly pane of glass - is it glass in a car window? - and proceed to be annoyed by the event for the rest of the day (or incredibly frustrated/depressed... depending on what it was).
Yes, i did see something i would rather not have seen out of the passenger window this afternoon, and yes, it has annoyed/frustrated/depressed me for the rest of the day (mainly annoyed, as i'm there practically EVERY DAY and, of course, it has to rock up the ONE DAY that i'm not around. Stupid car. Stupid Murphy's Law. Stuuuuuupid.). So now, i hate windows. I plan to avoid them at all costs, wherever possible, from now on... although that could be difficult as i'm about to drive to the movies and may, at some point, need to look through the windows in order to avoid other cars on the road... but i'll see what i can do. If i have a fatal accident, you'll know it was all the fault of the evil windows. Beware... they're everywhere and may manage to annoy you too, at any moment...
yours,
ever so slightly unusual and annoyed-with-windows,
Annie

having experienced this dislike of windows first hand, i would like to explain to everyone that ani has not actually gone mad, she did indeed have good reason to be ever so slightly annoyed at this particular window.
just one thing though, please dont take it out on the car. the car cant help that its window is transparent. its not the cars fault. and you love the car. just as you love its owner
xx
Really amazing! Useful information. All the best.
