I discovered something awesome yesterday - the drive-thru!! Four of us girlies went last night. I must say, i wasn't hugely excited to start with... it seemed like lots of hassle. We got lost en-route and i wanted trackies and uggies. However, then, we arrived. And it got awesome!
We parked the Volvo backwards, put the back seats down and filled the space with pillows and blankets and sleeping bags and snacks. It was comfy, cozy and warm for the two or so hours of the new Bond movie; Quantum of Solace. The movie was nothing to write home about (the usual Bond gight/plane/gun scenes), but i didn't really have anything against it. The plot was somewhat complicated, but i liked the character development and the purposeful lack of Bond's usual corny lines (think Bond, James Bond... shaken, not stirred). It was cool that he didn't sleep with the Bond girl, too! Anyway, movie aside, the drive-thru experience was awesome. We're already making plans to go back!
There's something so cliche and somewhat magic about watching a movie under the stars. We decided that it would be perfect for a date. But, the general theme of the evening was 'men are bastards', so we didn't need any dates but ourselves. The girls were a hoot, and we were glad for the chance to catch up. Can't wait to go back again!!
