Yesterday arvo, Bri begged for my awesome company so i drove into town to meet her and her friend. First stop; her lecturer's office. He was english (with a very peculiar accent), looked like Giles on Buffy and was an absolute legend. He agreed to meet us down at the pub in a half hour for a drink... peculiar, i know, but he seemed very nice.
So, Bri, her guy friend and i headed down to the Elephant. We grabbed a beer and just hung out for awhile. Surprisingly, i managed to make a good impression (i was high-fived multiple times for my awesomenss) so wasn't scared of the new company, and had a really good time. Plus, i learnt to play the '20cent drinking game', where you basically push money around a table... bizzare, and completely something i'm not co-ordinated enough to do, but still pretty fun. After awhile, we bade farewell to my new friend and Bri's lecturer and headed home. Good times!
After tea (and some work on my Psych assignment), i went to Noodles and watched Bridget Jones on DVD - it was playing on TV, but we didn't want to have to sit through the ads! Noodle's little sis was having a birthday party, so we were part-chaperone. It was fairly chilled, we just hung out for awhile and i was h0me early enough to get a good night's sleep for the first time all week... just in time to get up for work.
This morning was bearable, because we got a raise (forty whole cents!), and were backpaid from october, when they were supposed to raise the pay. Also, one of my little boys said 'i like you, teacher' and it was just the cutest thing. So that was enough for me.
Now, back to the workload...
