Uni Life

So, it's my awful 9-6 day again today, and there's not a chance that i can skip out before it's over today, unfortunately! I've already killed two hours (in a horrible psychology practical, in which the tutor was just a little tooo free and easy with his affections), only seven to go!... but when you put it like that, it doesn't sound quite so great!

Yesterday i was at uni most of the day too, but that was completely different - after three hours of study (and making new friends, because apparently it's not as hard as i thought!), i went down to the Tav to visit the SouthAfrican at work. I got there at one, stayed until half past six... hmm... amazingly, i did some study!! We also attempted (and couldn't complete) three crosswords and the soduko, and ate chocolate covered almonds in his break. I even scored free (out of date) orange juice! Having friends in high places rocks. I'm really not sure how i managed to kill so much time... i suppose that once again i just proved me amazing procrastinating skills were still sharp.

As well as doing absolutely nothing, i also managed to befriend the tuesday-Tav-regulars. My new friend Justin has decided that Annabel is a name from a Disney movie (the other drunks laughed and said that he was thinking of Tinkerbell, but he stubbornly refused to admit that), that i was super smart because i'm doing Law and Psychology and that my presence is effervescent, because i'm bubbly and happy while i sit and talk to the SouthAfrican. On the whole, i'm thinking that the drunks are a lot nicer than many of the sober people i know! A few of the others thought i was an absolute champ, just because i sat there and kept someone, who wasn't by boyfriend, company.

When they all left, i was farewelled jovially, and the SouthAfrican was in hysterics. The pub closed at half six, and the church boys were having their Men's Group there - so i got kicked out (damn being a girl, they seem to have so much fun) and walked the incredibly long way back to my car in the dark, hoping not to get killed. It took 12 minutes, brisk walking, uphill, to get to my car. I could get halfway into town from my place in that time! It's crazy.

i officially love tuesday afternoons and the Tav - i think i'll have to get the SouthAfrican to work there more often!!

It's a pity that wednesdays aren't anywhere near as interesting!!!
