Want More Proof?

I did another foolish thing...

I was driving a friend's car. Their radio doesn't work, so that failed as a distraction. The clock wasn't working, so i couldn't count the minutes as they went by, making me steadily later. It was cold. I'd been stopped at the traffic lights for far too long. So, i found a distraction.

I was fiddling with the car-lighter. I pulled it out, touched it, felt it to be cold. Then i pushed it in. I wanted to heat it up, so that i could use it as a source of warmth. However, when i pushed it in, it'd pop straight back up again. I kept trying, it kept popping back up. Quite reasonably, i assumed that it, like the radio and clock, was broken.

So i picked it up. I touched the end.

Turns out, it wasn't broken. It actually heats up extremely quickly.

I now have the imprint of a lighter on my left middle finger. It throbbed for hours. I couldn't run it under water because the car had no tap! It's going to blister... Definately one of my more foolish moments.
