The End Is Nigh

Kids Club Day #4

I had this morning off from Kids Club, on strict instructions not to show my face before lunctime... so, naturally, i was in there by hald past 9, becaue i needed to use the printer. Then, after driving my assignment to uni, and shopping for the afternoon activities (videos, chocolate, fruit, water pistols), i was back by just after 11. The morning went well, the kids had fun.

The first afternoon activity was watching movies at the Malvern Megaplex (re: our movies on the big screen). English and i supervised the kids watching Surf's Up in the church - it was a hilarious movie!! I loved it, it was really funny. Watch it! Nothing better than a cartoon doco-drama about a penguin who just wants to surf!

We had round robin after that; there was cooking, craft, games with chocolate and the shaving cream game - which deteriorated into a water fight for all four groups. While i refused to be covered in shaving cream, i did submit to being soaked with water pistols in a gang-up-on-the-leader water fight! It was great fun. The kids all left on time, so we were done early and had time to play Mario Kart on Nintendo64! Woo! Lots of fun... even if i was losing appallingly!! Apparently, i've lost my second-place-streak :P

I had a good day today, it was fun and the kids all had a great time, which is good to see. One of hte troublesome boys wanted me to come and watch the movie with him, which gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. The leaders and i had fun together, which is always great. Overall, a good day.
