19 for a day, i've resigned myself to feeling old and wise, much like a tortoise who's living out his 100+ years in as graceful a way as possible.
Last night i was at the Ed with two of the girls for our mini-mini-celebration. Most exciting thing? I could have a drink and still drive home, being the proud owner of my full licence. Most bizzare thing? The oddballs at the Ed... there was a guy with his face painted like a tiger and another as a goth in suspenders, just to name a few. Funniest? When i told a guy i know the name of a girl i'd just met and he sauntered up to her, introduced himself like he'd known her forever and proceeded to hit on her and her friends. Best thing? Seeing a bunch of people i'd not see in a long time; Bubble is back! So were most of the members of Fly Higher Project (Mr.Music's old band), it was really good to see them! Plus, one of them is my birthday-buddy, so we swapped tales of birthday excitement. Most annoying? When people ignore the birthday girl :P We didn't stay long, just an hour or two, before Kath and i headed off to Maccas on the way back to hers - it'd becoming a ritual necessity for our whinging sessions in the car.
We've decided that we could start a band and call ourselves 'The Complainers'. Kath on bass, me on lead guitar, Noodle on drums. Our first album? Bitch Your Way Through Life. And our second? Self-titled. We've already got our hit songs planned out; 'Rick' and 'You've Got Issues'. We think we'll be a huge hit! Haha, as you can tell, delirium from lack of sleep had already set in at this point...
Now, i'm back up at uni, for what feels like the millionth time in three days... in actuality, it's only the fifth, but that's still rather excessive. I had another successful Psych tute this morning, the tutor knows my name and seems to like me, which is fun! Law is so big (250 students at least) that the tutors and lectures often don't have a chance to get to know you very personally, which is a shame. I was dreading my 9-6pm day, with only a one hour break, especially seeing as i'd not really prepared... BUT i found out that my contract tute isn't until next week! Hurrah! Somehow, having a two hour break seems so much more manageable... of course, this is why i'm sitting here on my blog and on facebook, rather than preparing for the remaining five hours of afternoon classes ahead of me...
On that note, i'll have to love you and leave you until next time. Thanks for all if the birthday wishes from thr blogosphere!!
