Today, Tonight

Another day, another lecture, another late night.

After i struggled to eat my breakfast in my car, trundle through roadworks at a depressingly slow speed, find a park and make it to my lecture on time (which i did), i had to sit through two hours of constitutional law. It was far too early. Being at 11am, with my not functioning well until after lunch, i'll be surpised if i manage to retain anything. After the lecture, the heat and the intense exhaustion that stems from too many late nights - predominately study induced, which makes it not even worth it - meant that i bailed on the two hour wait before my next lecture, had lunch with Felix-the-Cat and went home instead.

Despite spending the afternoon surrounded by my books, albeit with a coffee-catch-up break with the SouthAfrican, i achieved very little, which is why i'm up at 11.37pm. I have a tute at 11am tomorrow morning that i am yet to prepare for. I'd try to get up early and do it then... but, like i said, mornings aren't my thing. So, here i am, blogging until i can find my second wind.

I had a funny conversation with a girl from uni today. She asked 'so, are you single?' Never having been asked that before, i was a little blindsided. There was a pause before i replied in the negative. However, the fun didn't end with the humiliation of admitting to being single (yes, i realise that there's nothing wrong with being single, but that's another post for another time). It was followed by an awkward pause, whilst she figured out how to respond. Apparently, not many people reply in the negative and there is no further avenue for conversation. I saved her from drowning in the silence by asking about her boyfriend, which allowed her to talk about him until the lecturer cut her off.

I was a little disturbed tonight when i realised that i had taken a 'fun' break to write out the relevant parts of the constitution that we're studying and stick them on my wall. I have become a boring, work-orientated person! Thank goodness for blogging, at least that's a little more substantiative and could fall under the umbrella of 'fun'!

Now, back to the tute prep... maybe i'll leave it for the morning after all? Who says i need to be prepared for uni...
