Heads Or Tails

7 Things

This week's H&T theme is '7 things' - i get to list 7 of anything i like. So, here are my seven favourite memories...

1. When i was about four, i sat down on my big brother's skateboard, with my toy computer and my recorder. We just played together. It was nice - i wasn't yet old enough to fight with him!

2. I remember the New Year's Day of 2007, where the girls and i were driving back from Murray Bridge. My car overheated on the freeway and we had to pull over. Picture five girls in sweltering heat, leaning under the hood of the car, trying to figure out if the water was just too hot or if something else was wrong... We had no idea! Then the police pulled over to see if we were ok - when they found out that we were, they didn't help us, they just left! Eventually we made it home... even though we did have to drive about 50kmph down the freeway!

3. When i got my first glance of Big Ben as i came out of the underground, i was literally speechless. It was just so amazing! It's not often that you can say that, it was pretty cool.

4. Every summer, the Botanic Gardens rope off a section for an outdoor, moonlight cinema. We usually go once or twice. Last year we saw Grease and it was hilarious - everyone was lying there, looking up at the screen, singing the songs aloud and yelling the lines along with the characters. Classic.

5. I remember sitting on the roof of the guesthouse in India with some of the others, drinking Indian beer and playing Truth or Dare.

6. When we were in Rome, Libby and i sprinted through the Sistine Chapel, running late to meet up with the group. The place is a maze and we couldn't get out!! We were looking so panicked that the guards took pity on us and escorted us out through the guards exit! But we still didn't make it on time.

7. When we went to see Harry Potter 5 with some of the younger church guys, Rose and i had the most fun we've ever had at a movie- there's just something about hysterical hiccough-inducing laughter, boys yelling 'Harry is gay' at the screen and KFC that we'd smuggled in. Good times.
