V-Day

I've got to say, i'm yet to decide my take upon the whole Valentine's Day thing. Some hate giving and getting gifts, some strive for it. Never having been in a relationship, there's always the desire to get something (i'm not greedy, i'd settle for a rose :P). But, should i ever get the relationship, choosing a gift will be something i'll find very tricky. Hey, there's a 'pro' for single-dom!

Last year on Valentine's Day, i had an anti-valentine's day party. It turned out being lots of fun and i ended the day with a Valentine of sorts anyway. Proof that low expectations means you can always be pleasantly suprised.

This year? I got stressed trying to organise the girls. So we ended up at the Havvy, none of us really in the mood to be there. But Bri, my saviour, arrived. Thanks to her, when we saw HorseBoy across the room, i screwed up enough courage to talk to him. We had a few laughs, he seemed not to hate talking to me. That alone was enough to make my night. Add the fact that he kissed me hello and goodbye and i was in heaven. The Cupid-Barman decided we were a match and used his little plastic bow to stick us with arrows.

We left the Havvy soon enough. Off to Marble. I was fairly over the moon when i bumped into a guy i know, who i've not seen since before i went away. I'd wanted to hear from him, but hadn't, so was stoked when he seemed happy to see me and apologised for not calling. I spent the night with him and his mates. They were awesome. The girls and i had a blast. One of his mates decided that i was 'the biggest chiller' he'd ever met. It was platonic-love at first sight, so we made a pact to be best mates that never kiss forever. I'd love that, but his drunken state meant he probably won't even remember me in the morning. They came back to my place but, in the end, we were all pretty wiped and didn't let them past the gate. Eventually, they wandered off into the night. It was a great night, but i'm thinking it was one of those nights that seems like it'll change things... but probably won't.
