"Women kill me. They really do... I just like them, I mean. They're always leaving their godamn bags out in the middle of the aisle."

Hi there, how goes it friends?

I thought it was about time to update a few of my pals on what I've been upto of late. I am not a fan of the group email, therefore to try and please you all I thought I'd have a blog.

Plus, I have another motive, feeling sick as a sick can be and am trying to keep my mind of feeling sorry for myself! Third motive, am thinking too much about certain boy issues and how crummy a text message can make you feel!

Anyhoo, here goes:

Spooky! Just had a little looksee at my last attempt at a blog entry and we had just returned from easter at the oma and opas house. Well would'nt you know it, we are heading there again on Thursday for a week to have a Geburtstags fest. Herzlichen Gluckwunsch zum Geburtstag! Yeh, slip that into everyday conversation why dont ya! I digress. Well let me do a little rewind.

Interesting things that I have seen and done since last time in Dusseldorf (where I spent much to much money on shoes and will polly do that again next week) include a week staying in the family's castle. To celebrate the grossmutters 70th geburtstag, the whole familie headed upto a little spot in the middle of nowhere but close to rostock, up the very north of Deutschland. Lola, Rudolf and I flew up alone in a private plane, as you do to your castle, and we hung out there for a week. We celebrated, we ate wild food (which I ended up being allergic too), I chatted to some very nice people, I listened to fast german conversations, I felt awkward and lonely sitting at the kids table, we planted trees (germans love wood), and looked at cows. One day I went to Schwerin which has a ginormous castle and magnificent surrounding gardens! They all thought it was hilarious how impressed I was with all the old buildings. They are trying to send me to Rome so that my head will be blown by all the 'culture.'

Anyway apart from all the awkwardness, lack of sleep due to me being on night time duty (I had to sleep in the same room with all three kiddlywinks), it was a good week. But so glad to be 'home.'

For all those interested, could not have been more wrong about Max B winning 'Deutschland sucht den Superstar" Max B got through to the final three but then did a Cosima and pulled out!!! Mind boggling! I think he wanted to maintain his music credibility or something... And the winner was Mark Medlock! He liked to wear vests and beanies, yep, one of those sorts.

Have now switched on the Gavsta. Gavin (Degraw) will make me feel better, or even more lonely or even more in want for a guy who "gets insecure", plays piano and or guitar (preferably and ) and who enjoys wearing hats (lol yes I did just describe Gavin DeGraw) Yes it definitely is a woe is me sort of mood.

What exciting adventure comes next: I think shes referred to as SportingBuddy here in the hovel (?), but I shall make up my own name for her for use in my section of the blog. And that name shall be Peak and Plummet Pal. Ganz einfach! :) Well, Peak and Plummet Pal came for a little lookypoo around old Ulm and to visit me, and save some accomodation cash! Approx a week together, which included Peak and Plummet Pal climbing the Muenster and seeing Pirates of the Carribean in german. So ashamed, I fell asleep! But my lord it is a long film! No matter how depressingly gorgeous Keira is or how sexy Mister JD is it couldn't keep me awake!

We also headed to Munich on Friday morning, Peak and Plummet Pal was to fly out of munich on saturday and I would do some sightseeing then too. On Friday we went to Dachau, which is a concentration camp a tram ride, a train ride and then a bus ride out of Munich. You bet it took us a while to get there! Once there, on a truly horrible weather wise day, seemed to fit the occasion, we did the audioguide thing and read all the signs posted about the place. Attempted to get my head round the whole thing.

Once we took the bus, the train and then the tram back to our filled with lies hostel. It is NOT close to central train station and does NOT have a discothek in the basement, disappointing. I then attempted to get PPP to come out on an 'Insomniac' pub crawl. Hurra, mission succeeded. We were careful not to peak on the tram on the way there, so that a plummet would'nt occur in the pub. In freaking breakneck speed, we left the hostel and got across and actually found the place. To be surrounded by Americans. Americans love Germany, or anyplace I think that has a drinking age lower than 21. Man, at 21 you're old! The night proceeded and thats all that will be said. Summing up I felt like I was literally dead slash close to it the next morning.

Due to my death during the evening, and the coming up of a bad ass cold, I did not feel like sight seeing. I did though, hurra for ailie! Although I have to admit I did a bus tour rather than a walking tour, and every time I got back on the bus from a stop I had 'hopped off' at I fell immediately asleep! I know, peinlich, sehr sehr peinlich. That crazy chick on her own asleep on the bus, yep all me! I was even doing the 'trying not fall asleep wake up head jerk.' Needless to say didnt make any new pals! :) However, I awoke to see Schloss Nymphenburg which was crazily beautifully OTT on the inside and I also had a look at Olympia Park home to the 1972 olympics. Go Shane Gould! Went also to Pinakothek der Moderne (Modern art gallery) and had a wonderful time and caught up again with my friend Franz Marc yet again.

Okay, thats enough about that.

Exciting things around here: Lorena has chicken pox. I could have sworn it was a funny illness. The piccys we have at home of me in the bath with the calomine (ignore bad spelling, see it and say it) lotion and the weird green stuff, I look completely adorable (if i do say so). But now from this angle it just looks painful.

In a couple weeks I am off for a little travel, again on my own, to vienna and prague. Have limited amount of money, so any ideas for wheedling money from parents, email them my way. But am excited even though I was lonely as all hell last time I still had a wikid time! (Can anyone tell I just read 'The Catcher in the Rye'? If you picked it up from the title well done! I take my hat off to you, you phony) And I get a break from the boredom, monotony, stress, smells of an au pair life!

Well thank you lil blog readers for allowing me to splurge a little bit, kept me occupied and my thoughts away from icy, no punctuation containing text messages, the pain in my throat when I swallow and how much I could do with a hug from everybody I love! Thats the first thing Ill do when I get home! Ill do it too. A lot of you will read this, so line up. By the way whole stole five months and put them up their jumper, because five months of this year have completely disappeared!

stay safe, healthy and happy

Much love xxxx
deine Ailie
