Go Adelaide!
Last year, neighbours ran a competition, looking for fresh new talent to star on the long-running soap. In the group of finalists were two SA boys - more specifically, two Saint Peter's boys. Typical :P These boys were Sam Clark and Tim Phillips.
Adelaide being so small and all, we not only knew these boys by name and reputation, but because we'd been up close and personal in our ab-fab Walford/Saints Musicals - Paris and West Side Story. Both stellar successes, of course! So, we got to know the boys (some of us got to drool over the guys) and they're actually kind of decent... even with their dreams to be aspiring actors!
A few months ago, Sam Clark rocked up on the set of Neighbours, the successful finalist. We all thought it was a hoot - seeing the guy who'd formerly run around our stage in sexy PVC pants (lime green, of couse), in such a 'real' role! It was pretty cool. And we were totally proud - even though we paid the hell out of the poor guy. When SportingBuddy ran off to England, we sent her with plenty of photos of him from the play, so that she could show off about all of the stars that she knows!
Why am i suddenly talking about this? That would be because i flipped on the TV tonight - and who did i see? Tim Phillips! Apparently Adelaide churns out so many great actor-types that they couldn't let the boy go. So, now he's one of the gang! Which is most definately a good thing, him being the hotter of the two boys, by far - it was a shame he's not graced the small screen sooner. Well, in my opinion at least :P
Congrats Timmy! Now you can give lil' old Sam a run for his money. Let's hope your gorgeous face isn't going to be going anywhere anytime soon!
