Or Not...
Today, a loud, insistent bleeping startled us all as we were settled down for our Legal Method workshop. Soon, we all realised that it was the fire alarm - however, nobody actually moved. We all just sat around while it continued, wondering if somebody would come and tell us what to do! Eventually, a teacher rounded us up and we were herded, like sheep, down to the lake.
Twenty minutes later, we headed back up the hill to the remainder of our class. It'd been a good distraction - but really, aren't we a little old for a fire drill? I think we can manage to walk down to the lake... that said, we never really did figure out if it was a drill or not. Two fire trucks showed up and all of the teachers were given little hard hats to wear. If there were a fire, what good would the little hats really do? They wouldn't protect much against fire. But hey, what do i know. Maybe they're just to look good.
Which raises the point - why didn't we get little hats? Do they want to kill us off?! Wouldn't be much of a uni without us! Felix the Cat and i were not happy chappies - we want our helmets!
I just thought i'd share this lovely experience with you all!
Annie
