Thirteen Things that Drive Me Crazy
1. People who think they're right no matter what. And continue to argue irrationally.
Yes, i realise i can be chronically painful in doing this. In my defense, i strongly believe that i'm right though! But it drives me insane when people believe they're right and won't listen to reason. Occassionally i am right, you know!
2. People who refuse to believe i am right.
Yes, this is similar to the first one, because it causes me to irrationally defend myself sometimes. However, it annoys me when people call me a know-it-all and then refuse to listen to anything i say. Just because i generally have some kind of answer to everything doesn't mean that i don't know anything!
3. Music that you download with cheering and clapping at the beginning.
Ok, so one way to avoid that would be to buy the music, but that's not happening. So, it aggravates me when there are ten seconds of screaming at the start of a song. I'm playing it because I want to appreciate it, not because i want to hear someone else doing so!
4. Uptalkers
You know the types. The end of all of their sentences go up. It sounds like you're talking to a human helium balloon. Really, it just gives the conversation the IQ of a blonde cheerleader. Gah.
5. Scratched DVDs
There is nothing worse than being half way through an incredibly good movie and then it skips a chapter (always a crucial one, of course!).
6. Lending out my things and having them come back in tatters
No, this isn't a dig at those of you who've done that :P Just a general pet-peeve. I take ridiculously good care of my stuff so it's annoying when it comes back all yucky!
7. Children who just won't stop talking
I talk twenty-four to the dozen ususally, but when you're babysitting and the kids just won't stop talking to you about anything and everything it can get very tiring.
8. Having a messy room
I break the teenager mould in that my room is always spotless. Always. If it gets messed up, i'll tidy it before i do anything much else. I get it from my mother (who is like that with the entire house). On the odd occasion that there are a few items of clothing on the end of the bed, or some shoes on the floor, i get yelled at for being messy! Mum has no idea.
9. My brother
Yes, stereotypically, my little brother is treated like a demi-god in this household. He can do no wrong! Yet, i can do much wrong. And if he does cross a line? It's my fault for being a bad example :P
10. People who do no work and do fantastically!
You know the types. They never study. They never work. But they get full marks. Or who never get a job but get everything handed to them. Or whatever. Those people that annoy you, just because you, very unfairly, don't like that you have to work for what they are handed.
11. People who complain about their looks when they're gorgeous
There are people in the world who are 'the beautiful ones'. I happen to be friends with quite a few of them. We all love them. Most of us want to be them. But they still have tha audacity to complain about how they look 24/7. If they think that THEY look bad, then what hope is there for US? It just drives me nuts.
12. People who whinge behind your back
If people have a problem with me, i'd rather they tell me face to face, rather than going behind my back and bitching about me. I'm much more likely to do something about your problem if you talk to me about it than i am if you get me offside by complaining to other people. Example? Apparently, when i first started this blog, people were complaining about it to someone. Now, i didn't know what i was doing that they didn't like. I don't even know exactly who they were. But i was hurt and upset that they would go and talk to someone else about it, instead of me. This way, i never fixed whatever it was they had a problem with, i don't know why they were annoyed. I couldn't defend myself. It's really just not fair.
13. The world
I could write a million things about what is wrong witht eh world that drives me nuts. But i won't. But i don't understand how the world can be in such trouble and the people that 'run' it just can't seem to get their priorities in order. You want to stop wars? Well, stop sending your troops into battle. You don't fight fire with fire. You want people to conserve energy and water? MAKE them. Don't be slack. You need an alternative source of energy? Find one. Don't just talk about it, actually DO it! Yea, so you'll be dead when the big problems start. But WE won't. Your children. Do it for us! Geez. Morons.
