Wondering...

New Blog?

I've been thinking recently about lots of the blogs that i know. Many of them seem to have been created secretly and the blogger's friends and family know nothing about them. That way, they can write about whatever they like, without having to worry about what people think and hurting people's feelings, or saying too much for them to deal with. That way, they can write about anything and everything that they're thinking, without having to worry about what people think of their innermost thoughts. They can reveal themselves to virtual strangers and not have to face the enquires of the people they know. TheThinker is big on this, with absolutely noone knowing about her blog, except people through cyber space.

On the other hand, with nobody you know reading your blog, you won't get any of those faithful readers or your friends telling you they love your blog. There's no room for bonding further with your mates, with your blogs for common ground, like SingleGirl seems to do. For me, comments are half the fun. As it is, i don't get many, and most that i do get are from friends. If my blog was annonymous, somewhere in cyber space, i would have even less. That's just depressing.

So, what do you think? Should the hovel remain as is, where the content may be somewhat censored for the sake of us all? Or should i move to somewhere deep in cyber space, where nobody can find me? Rhetorically, of couse. I'm not totally sure i could let the hovel go! But, on the whole, which do you think is the best approach to take?
