Let's Talk Hugs
Some people are kiss people. Some people are handshake people (ok, i don't personally know any, but there are probably some people out there). Some people are hug people. I am someone who most definately falls into that third category.
This is a recent thing. I used to be a no-hugging person, i reeeeally hated hugs. That is not the case anymore. These days, the right kind of hugs can have me grinning in the hovel for days. Seriously.
What's so good about hugs? Well, the good ones come from people who are volountarily hugging you. They're not from family members, who are obliged to hug you. They're usually not from girls, who's hugs can be treacherous and full of spite. Or obligatory 'hello' hugs that we all give each other. The best ones are the nice comfy ones, that you haven't asked for, the ones that are given 'just because they wanted to'. Do you know the ones i mean?
Girls, we all have our favourite hug givers, the people that we love to be around when things are suckier than usual. For me? These people are often in hoodies :P But Bubble, BB, Rudolph, TeddyBear, the South African and Skywalker are up there with the best.
In the last weekend a got a good half dozen great hugs. It was a good weekend. Couple that with a successful birthday pressie (i hate giving dud pressies) and being on the road to recovery after being sick all week. So, i really was a happy chappie. Hence, the grinning in the hovel for the past forty-eight hours or so.
Good times

ani, i absolutely, 100% agree with you about the hugs. there is nothing like a good hug to make you feel better after a crappy day. or just to make you feel better in general! and like you said, the best hugs are the 'just because they wanted to' hugs :)
ill ttys. looking forward to friday!
love always, george xoxo
ps. can we also add 'Teddy' to the list of good huggers?
