Uni? What's That?
Ok, so i've registered. I'm a law/behavioural science student at flinders now! But so? I don't have to start yet. So, in the words of my mother, i might as well 'party hard' while i've got the chance! And i think all of us can say that we've been doing just that.
Last thurday we hit the beach and, while i constantly freaked out about getting even more burnt, we had a yum tea and ice-cream before heading to visit Lew. We rocked up and managed to recreate those lovely but awkward year seven socials. You know, the ones where the boys sit on one side and the girls sit on the other. Well, that was us! After about an hour, maybe more, we'd at least managed to all sit down. Eventually, we started having a good time... mainly because Ash and Macca managed to not-so-subtly start pointing at me and Karas, reminding us of some incriminating photos that they've got on their phones. So, the ice was broken as i tried, in vain, to get Ash's phone... he's really tall and strong! There was no way that evidence is going anywhere anytime soon. Either way, the tension was broken. So the rest of the night was enjoyable - even though that was about twenty minutes, because Lew's mum came out and cracked a slight fruity. It was still a good night - we discovered that the Posse boys actually have more friends than just the four of them. Extra bonus? They're all really hot!
Friday night? Kashew's 18th/Farewell. Ok, so there were slightly more girls than guys... in that there were about six guys... but it was actually a really great night! I hadn't seen most of the girls since i came home and Sawks was back from England so it was great to see her. After the party wound down, we went over to Roz's place for awhile. Marms and Ash rocked up at about 1am and we did the usual; got Maccas, played 'Remier, mucked around. Then we kicked them out, along with the Chief, Horner and Butcher, before crashing into bed.
Saturday was Georgie's BBQ. All the usuals rocked up at first and we swam before tea, which took awhile to cook due to the boys' failed attempts at being manly. They couldn't turn the BBQ on, then only had it half on, then spilt beer all over the gril, all the while refusing the help of the girls. Eventually, little (is little the wrong word there?) Fraser stepped in and saved the day. There was some awkward conversation and little JP kept trying to steal our dregs. Good fun though. Even though Noodle and i walled appallingly when a certain Bubble arrived - surprising even us with the strength of the walls. Eventually most people left. Bass, Mish, George, Noodle, Viv and i hung around because at midnight it was Noodle's 18th! Champers all round and Bass' super duper special wine. Lucky us and our contacts. Noodle left and up rocked the Posse, with a few more in tow. We headed down to the park, as we tend to do, and played some 'Remier and attempted to convince the boys that it is NOT acceptable to wait 21 days before replying to a girls message! Then home to beddie-byes, heads reeling slightly in the presence of such good company. Bass, myself, Viv and Roz stayed over, as well as the Chief, and i got to sleep in my favourite spot again. Yay! Oh, and big discovery; apparently, 'vague' is an insult. He's 'floaty'. Personally, i'm not too sure about the difference :P
Sunday was night out #4. After our indian presentation at church which went well, but was somewhat emotional as Sarah and i realised just how much we'd missed the kids since we left, i met up with the now-usual gang (that is, us girls and the posse, plus BB) at the oval. It was an incredibly random but actually really fun night! We all chatted and hung out. Until BB managed to play Simon Says with me. As in he was Simon and i did what he said. Which didn't end up with me feeling to great. Understatement of the century. Gah. Had a good chat to everyone before that though. Even though that involved chasing Macca round the oval in a continued attempt to get his phone from him. And apparently hitting on Ash. And BB, but i'm not so sure about that. You think i'd know. Anyway...
The next morning, i was happily on the mattresses (yes, plural), Noodle and Bass were in the hovel, Roz in my bed and poor old Hopper was on the floor! Poor guy. He's a legend. We did the usual Maccas run and Bass did his usual trick of leaving his keys behind TWICE on the way to his car. The first time we drove all the way there before he realised, the second time he ran halfway before realising. Third time a charm i suppose. Eventually, Roz and Hops left and Moodle, Bass and i went swimming. I tell you, those walls are paiiiiiiinful things. Ouch.
Anyway, they're the happenings of the past week. I was soooo tired. Sleepy sleepy. And i get to do it all again this weekend! Ah well, i'm happy :)
Au revoir!
