New Year's Resolutions

That Time Again

Yes, it's that pesky time of year again. The time when we get to make a whole lot of promises to ourselves that we will inevitably break or forget when it's convenient. Nevertheless, it's an age-old tradition that, despite it's nuiances, will continue long after we're gone, i'm sure. So, in order to go with the flow, i figured i'd make some resolutions, if not just to have something to break. Lol, though i'm sure the more sensible thing to do would be to try and stick with them :P

Ok, first is the usual one - stop biting my fingernails! I'm getting so close, they're nice and long now, but everytime they get just right, i either break one or get into a situation where i'm so bored/stressed/upset that there is no alternative BUT to bite the damn things!! So, i'll try not to. Especially seeing as i'll be in India and if i bite them i'll get sick!

Then there's the typical female resolutions; get fit, lose weight, spend the year getting my life in order and finding the perfect job/house/guy/hobby... always almost impossible to achieve but necessary nonetheless.

Now for the 'me' ones; i'm going to stick to learning the guitar and piano and get decent! Even if it kills me. Find a good job. Figure out what i want to do with my life. Embrace Uni life, enjoy it and make a whole stack of new mates.

Well, they're the 'easy' ones (comparatively). Now for those that are slightly trickier; i'll stick to my current 'list'-less state for as long as possible. I'll be sensible when i go out, no matter what. I won't avoid my issues until they catch up with me and hit me over the head like a bad mood on steroids. I'll stop liking people who are my 'type' (eg. attached, girly, unattainable :P). I'll work on being the kind of normal that will eliminate people saying that i'm 'an aquired taste'.

Hmm... well, they're toughies but we'll see how we go. Got to say though, i'm not completely alight with confidence! Ah well, we'll see and i'll be sure to keep you posted.
