Our Post-Schoolies Schoolies Party :P
Last night we managed to resurect the fun we had in Victor last weekend, even if things did get off to a rocky start. I'd rescued my beetle from it's cement prison and tracked down Dennis, our slightly moronic bus driver who was unable to find the IGA for pete's sakes - it is NOT the Tandoori Oven! You'd think that the different names would give it away. Anyway, after a looooooong trek into the back of the beyond, we arrived... making our busload the only people to be there :P
However, soon things picked up; it got dark, more people actually arrived and refreshments were uncovered :P Putting aside the fact that people (by which i mean girls and Wells) were wearing very little, when the music got pumped up we all got hyped up.
Finally, George got her chance to teach us the wonderous game of 'Remier. Which, by the way, is now officially the best game in the world, beating out A & J's Game of Cards even! Over the course of the evening, as we managed to get some 'shmere' from various boots, pub-runs and woeful eyes, i learnt six of the seven mini-game things and managed to actually get the hang of the game! Yay! Finally, something i have a talent for :P However, that's not to say i didn't have to 'consume' just as much as everyone else - i think the Chief had a view to help that along as much as possible. Typical male. By the by, did you know that the fastest way to skull a can of beer is to poke a hole near the bottom then crack the top and drink? Apparently the pressure is more equalised and therefore it comes out faster? Personally, i think that there's been waaaay too much thought put into that but whatever :P
Eventually, as the game lost Redman, SportingBuddy and a few others, we abandoned the game that had kept us occupied for hours in pursuit of warmer activitied - Echunga is COLD! The dancing picked up and we were all pretty over-tired - and therefore hypo. All the randoms were hilarious - lots were year elevens or Echunga dudes, which made them funny because they were so confident that they were cool.
Half of the Posse was at another party and the bubble was goodness knows where, but, as per usual, BB, Rudolph, Skywalker, the Chief and co were in fine form. Skywalker, looking lovely in his girlfriend's school uniform, while she looked equally fabulous in his uniform (Buddy and Skywalker are so cute together by the way :P), decided that he would provide sage words; apparently Rudolph has no idea what he is missing out on and i've been promised that i'll be the first to know when the girlfriend is out of the picture. It amuses me that he's formed these ideas about my opinions of Rudolph but it was still very sweet of him - however his incredibly drunken state and accompanying few dozen hugs slightly undercut his authority...
It seemed all too soon that Dennis returned and we had to hop on the bus - after, of course, the usual rounds of good-bye hugs. The bus ride flew by and it felt like a mere ten minute before we were home. Everyone was picked up (except the Chief, who stubbornly refused to leave - again, proving the exasperating nature of males) and SportingBuddy, George and i walked back to my place. An hour of museli bars and analysing the party led to bed time and we collapsed on a mattress, exhausted.
You know, i think that sometimes events which you aren't particularly loooking forward to can turn out to be more fun that those that you've looked forward to for weeks. This one was proof of that! I had heaps of fun - hope your heads are ok girlies! Looking forward to our 'Remier night :P
Au Revoir!!
