Only In Adelaide...

On a brighter note, this afternoon there was an awesome hullaballoo outside of our house. We went to see what the fuss was about - and there was a baby koala and it's mamma in the tree! They were so cute, all snuggled up in the leaves. Then they went for a little swing in the braches. It was hilarious that half of the street was out there under the tree!

I posted 'there's a baby koala and it's mamma in the tree outside my house!' as my facebook status... and a hilarious comment-war ensued. It's amazing the things that grab people's attention! Check it out:

female koalas and little itty bitty baby koalas are cute
males not so much when they make mating calls ALL NIGHT..
Annabel at 8:19pm November 6
haha, well, they've been quite so far :P even though half the street is standing under the tree, yapping...
Rudolph at 8:21pm November 6
Mmm sexy mating calls, keeping you up all night long eh Eleanor?
El at 8:22pm November 6
yep... can't get the bloody things to shut up
but i can't help it if they just find me irresistible....
Rudolph at 8:24pm November 6
Ah well, what 2 foot tall hairy mammal wouldn't find you irresistible? Perhaps you have to stop leading them on..
El at 8:25pm November 6
... who have you been talking to....?
Rudolph at 8:26pm November 6
There are plenty of Koala's up here in the hills, and they're sociable creatures.
