There was a game that everyone used to play when we were younger. 'Where in the world is Carmen Sandiago?' I never played it - and i don't have any idea what it was about... but i have a vision of a giant ant dressed in detective gear in my head for some bizzare reason. Anyway, that's the first thing i thought of when i aw todays topic.
I'm thinking about going away next year, in July. It's not a question of 'where', but 'how' and 'when' and 'with whom'. There's a Contiki that i want to do, but it's really long so i would miss almost a month of uni. Obviously, my in-built control freak doesn't really like this idea. But i'm considering it anyway, because i'd get to see Greece, and Egypt, and Turkey and everywhere! Granted, it would cost me all my money and then some. And i wouldn't go on my own, so it depends on whether one of the girls can figure out whether she'll come with me... and i figure out whether she'd be a good travel companion. I want to see the whole world... maybe i'll have to wait a little bit longer?

I've heard of that too, Carmen San Diego....but I'm like you, don't have any idea what it's about.

My kids used to watch the TV show about Carmen. It was to teach kids about geography in a fun way. (Clues were given as to her location.)
As for your trip.. maybe you could go with a larger group to help cut expenses?
Oh! You should go. You might never get the chance to travel like that again.
My kids had Carmen Sandiago on the computer way back in the day when computers were not so easy to figure out.
